Help for Tampa Residents Impacted by COVID-19

Are you a Tampa resident or small business owner who has been negatively impacted by the Coronavirus Shutdown?

The City of Tampa has established the Relief Now, Rise Together Fund to help eligible small businesses, families, and individuals harmed by the COVID-19 shutdown orders. The funds are for rent and essential utilities and doesn’t need to be repaid.

For eligible applicants, the program will provide direct payments for up to one month’s rent or mortgage plus one or more essential utility costs (water, gas, electric). The maximum is up to $1,000 for rent or mortgage; up to $250 for utilities.

The Individual relief plan is geared toward helping those who were employed at the time the crisis began and lost their job or were furloughed because of it.

The business plan aims to help businesses that were excelling in their market before the pandemic, but had to closed because of the safer at home orders. The maximum is up to $4,000 for rent/mortgage and up to $1,000 for utilities.

The City will send the payments directly to landlords, mortgagors, or to TECO.
